Frequently Asked Questions

If you are on Medicare, then you are eligible for the Remote Patient Monitoring services. You will receive FREE devices, but you may be subject to deductible and co-insurance. However, most patients with a Medi-Gap, Medicaid, or Medicare Advantage plan do not need to pay at all for the devices and services. To check your eligibility, please contact us.

We are currently not providing any service to non-Medicare patients at the moment. Please come back in the future when we expand our benefits.

We will match you with your nearby clinicians and clinical teams. We currently partner with many doctors in California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida.

Please send an email about your problems to info@ormahealth.com

Please ask your physician’s office to send your secure patient portal link.

The devices are offered at no cost. You may be subject to co-pays for the services. Please discuss with your physician’s office.

  1. 1. Practice using the monitor with your provider to make sure you are taking your blood pressure correctly.
  2. 2. Your arm should be supported, with your upper arm at heart level and feet on the floor (back supported, legs uncrossed).
  3. 3. It is best to measure your blood pressure after you rest for at least 5 minutes.
  4. 4. DO NOT take your blood pressure when you are under stress, have had caffeine, or used a tobacco product in the last 30 minutes, or have recently exercised.
  5. 5. Take at least 2 readings 1 minute apart in the morning before taking medicines and in evening before eating supper. Try to measure and record BP daily for 5 days and then report your results to your provider.

All our devices (except for Kardia) have a cellular chip built-in, therefore, there is no need to connect to Wi-Fi or download any apps. Simply take the measurement (step on the scale for example) and the data will automatically be transferred to the portal. For the EKG, your physician’s office will assist with the setup.

  1. 1. Before you start testing, set out the Glucometer, the test strip, lancet, lancing device, an alcohol pad.
  2. 2. To prevent infection, wash your hands. It is okay to just use the alcohol swab if you are not by a sink. If you wash your hands thoroughly, usage of an alcohol swab is not required.
  3. 3. To make the blood flow easier, it sometimes helps to warm your hands first. Run your hands under warm water or rub them together briskly to warm them up. You need to be sure to dry them well as wet hands can dilute the blood sample, resulting in a lower number and wrong results.
  4. 4. Turn on the glucometer and when the machine is ready, place the blood on the strip.
  5. 5. Make sure your hands are dry and wipe the selected area with an alcohol prep pad. Wait until the alcohol evaporates.
  6. 6. Now, pierce your fingertips on the side of your finger, between the tip of your nail to the bottom of your fingernail. Avoid the pads as they can pinch more.
  7. 7. Place the drop of blood at the side of or on the strip.
  8. 8. A few moments will be taken by the glucometer to calculate the blood sugar reading. Follow your doctor’s order for whatever blood sugar reading you get.

  1. 1. To add the KariaMobile device for the patient, please go to the member details page of the patient. You can navigate to the member details page either by clicking the member on the home page, or by searching the member by name on the top search bar. There, please click the “device” sidebar menu.
  2. 2. On the main page, click the “Get a Referral Code” button.
  3. 3. Immediately after you click the button, you will see a new referral code on the page. The patient’s smart phone app (the Kardia app) will ask for a referral code. Please use this code to pair the device with Orma RPM Platform.
  4. 4. After following a standard sign-up process, the Kardia app will ask if the patient has a referral code. Please click “Yes”.
  5. 5. Use the referral code you generated for the patient from Orma RPM Platform. Now, the KardiaMobile is paired with Orma RPM Platform!
